- What is Drive Apex?
- Drive Apex is Kenya's trusted car rental marketplace. It connects customers with verified rental companies and protects every payment with escrow until handover is confirmed.
- How much does it cost the customer?
- You pay the rental amount only. There is no customer service fee — the price you see is the price you pay.
- How do payments work?
- Pay with M-Pesa or card. Your payment is held in escrow and released to the rental company only after you confirm you have received the vehicle.
- Why do I need to upload my driving licence and ID?
- Rental companies verify every driver for safety and fraud prevention. Your documents are stored securely, shared only with the company handling your booking and Apex admins, and never made public.
- Will my dates be blocked if I don't pay?
- No. Dates are only reserved permanently after successful payment. Unpaid bookings expire and release the dates automatically, and you can resume payment from your dashboard.
- How do I list my rental company?
- Register a rental-company account, add vehicles with real photos, and submit them for review. You keep 91.5% of every booking; Apex's 8.5% commission applies only after payment.
- Is it safe to pay?
- Yes — as long as you pay through Apex. Never send money outside the platform. Only Apex payments are protected by escrow.
